The work we do at SLO LEAF isn’t just about financial assistance, it’s about the people, partnerships, and moments that bring our mission to life. This gallery highlights some of the events and memories we’ve shared with the law enforcement community of San Luis Obispo County.
From fundraisers and community outreach to remembrance ceremonies and appreciation events, each image tells a story of dedication, generosity, and unity.
Luca Benedetti
Detective Luca Benedetti was killed in the line of duty and SLO LEAF was immediately there to help and support. SLO LEAF provided funding for both a portion of the funeral costs and to allow family to honor Luca’s sacrifice at the National Law Enforcement memorial in Washington D.C.
Leisa Dostie
Leisa lost her life to cancer but was able to spend her last two weeks with family in Oregon after SLO LEAF graciously offered to pay for a private medical flight. Leisa dedicated over 41 years to the Sheriff’s Office. We are grateful to SLO LEAF for their support during Leisa’s final weeks.
Nicholas Dreyfus
After being shot in the line of duty, there are so many unforeseen expenses when recovering from injuries like mine. SLO LEAF provided me with help and gave me the peace of mind I needed to focus on my recovery. I was blessed to have their help and am beyond grateful for all they do!
